Fireworks exploded lighting up the Guatemalan sky bringing in a new and exciting year! It's 2009! We at Mission Impact have been super busy gearing up to begin a new school year with our schools, continuing with and starting new construction projects and preparing to receive numerous teams this year - that would be my department! We are truly thankful to the Lord to have another year to serve Him and to demonstrate His Love with the beautiful people of Guatemala!
Wisconsin Team was the first team we welcomed!
They came prepared to teach the children up at our Proximos Pasos School in Santa Maria de Jesus all about healthy eating and taking care of their teeth!
Then - we passed out apples...
Among Children activities the Wisconsin Women taught the women of Santa Maria de Jesus about their personal health as well as taking care of their infants. All the while, the men were hard at work on the next floor of the girls school...
And even took a break to come do some juggling act!
And this is the prayerful outcome...that each and every child will be touched by the Spirit of our Lord and Savior and develop a love and commitment to Him!
