Off to Mexico! Visa Renewal

It's true, the weather is pretty cozy here in Guatemala while many of you remain in the frozen tundra of wintery midwest weather! But before you get jealous of Antigua, Guatemalas "eternal spring' weather....try this out for cozy....

Here's a little fact on foreigners living in Guatemala. Every 90 days we are required to get a new stamp on our passport to renew our visa. This can be done in the city (1 hour from here) and gives us another 90 days. After those 90 days pass, we are required to leave the country. Thus, every 6 months we must leave the country.

So, my friends and I hopped into the truck....and took our 5 hour trip to Mexico to receive a new visa...

It was a tight squeeze.

So you pick, nice weather or comfortable traveling?

Then again, I was in good company! I'm thankful for my housemate Melanie. Melanie works for Kids Alive, a girls home up the mountain about 30 minutes.

Yes, it is cold and getting colder in the coming week. We've also had more snow than normal this year, but I do like the comfort of our travel. :) So happy that the Lord has given you such a good room mate! You are ever in our prayers!
