Cake, Oven Pancakes, and Chicken Feet - have your pick!

In the orphanage we have many people - Emilia is the gal who works daily cleaning and taking care of the baby girls. Of course Katie has taught her the in's and out's of the home, what her tasks aught to be; but the most important thing we have instilled in the people and the children of this home is to Love God, demonstrate His Love and consistently remind the girls who they are in Christ. Emilia's heart radiates God's love - and she is a blessing to all the baby girls! We thank God, continually, that these baby girls are here safely in this home! Please remember to pray for them.

So, it was a blessing to share in her birthday and enjoy some cake!!

For those of you wondering if I'm starving here as I need to cook for myself -- here is evidence of me learning -- I baked an oven pancake and it was delicious! You are welcome to visit me anytime, and I will bake one just for you!

*Photo of me with my oven pancake! Thanks for the recipe mom!

Chicken Feet anyone? I had the opportunity to visit the boys home (and now girls home too!) of some missionaries (Victor and Chicki) that I met back in 2003. Their ministry has many facets (Church, Drug recovery ministry, children's home). Victor's church is one that I visit regularly. And, might you be thrilled to hear - We had chicken feet for lunch - I know, you are jealous!
